Last year, the official website for the Is the order a rabbit? anime series changed to Gochūmon wa Mahō Shōjo desu ka? (Is the order a magical girl?) starring Chino for an April Fool's joke. The idea took off, and "Magical Girl Chino" got her own 2015 Summer Comiket goods.

Manufacturer Stronger and distributor Anime University Coop are keeping fans hope alive for an actual spin-off with a new figure of the design. Pre-orders will open on May 7.

This year, Is the order a rabbit? changed to Syaro into the phantom thief Lapin.
