Anime Sols Launches DVD Funding Campaign for The File of Young Kindaichi Returns, and Streaming Funding Campaigns for Dororo and Gordian, The Warrior
TOKYO, JAPAN – (July 15, 2014) – Anime Sols LLP, consisting of member companies Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation, Yomiuri-TV Enterprise Co., Ltd., ADEC Co., Ltd., Tezuka Productions Co., Ltd., Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd., Pierrot Co., Ltd., and Quarkpro LLC, is announcing a new DVD funding campaign to support DVD box sets of the new mystery anime, The File of Young Kindaichi Returns.
Users will be able to watch the latest episodes of the show, as well as pledge for DVD Box sets and other special items on animesols.com! If the goal of $26,000 is met, Anime Sols will produce DVD Box Sets of the series!
Also, Anime Sols has launched for free streaming the first three episodes of Tezuka's Dororo, and Tatsunoko Production's Gordian, The Warrior. Users are able to pledge money toward the localization and streaming of the first 13 episodes of each series, with goals of $2700 each.
The File of Young Kindaichi Returns (2014) Set 1, Episodes 1-14 Goal: $26000
He has come back! “Kindaichi Case Files R” is a Japanese mystery manga series based on the crime solving adventures of a high school student, Hajime Kindaichi, the supposed grandson of the famous private detective Kosuke Kindaichi. One day, Kindaichi and his girlfriend Miyuki visit Hong Kong for fasion event, Miyuki is captured by a stranger wrongly. And the tour to save Miyuki will lead to an another crime case…
Dororo (1969) Set 1 Streaming, Episodes 1-13 Goal: $2700
The setting is the middle of the Muromachi Period, during the 1470s after the Wars of Onin and Bunmei. The story begins in the Noto Peninsula of the Hokuriku District. The main character, who lacks as much as 48 body parts, obtains a fake body and eliminates 48 monsters that were made from his body to retrieve his missing body parts. The 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 23rd and 25th episodes are original stories for television, not part of the original story. Half way through the series, the title was changed to "Dororo and Hyakkimaru" because Hyakkimaru was more prominent than Dororo, the boy thief, and viewers inevitably regarded Hyakkimaru as the main character when the story evolved around eliminating monsters. Unlike the pilot, this was done in monochrome only, probably due to tight budget. As it turns out, the monochrome made the monsters look much eerier.
Gordian, The Warrior (1979) Set 1 Streaming, Episodes 1-13 Goal: $2700
The Earth had become a wasteland of deserts as the survivors work to rebuild communities. Daigo Otaki is a young orphan raised by his uncle. Becoming an adult, Daigo discovers that Victor Town was in fact planned by his father who was a genius scientist. Daigo's sister Saori had been managing it. She pled with Daigo to take on the inheritance that Daigo's father left him, a super robot system known as Gordian. Daigo would join the Mechacon 18th Special Mobile Regiment, an organization of law enforcers that defend Victor City against attacks from the Madoctor organization.
