Illustrators Banpai Akira, Shinoasa to also attend September 18-20 event in Anaheim

TouhouCon announced on Tuesday that it will host illustrators Sunao Minakata, Banpai Akira, and Shinoasa at its September 18-20 convention in Anaheim, California.

All three illustrators will participate in a guest panel, and will hold autograph signings. They will also exhibit their art at the convention's exhibit hall.

Minakata illustrated the Akuma no Riddle (Riddle Story of Devil) manga — which Seven Seas has licensed for North America — and is a member of the Yatsu wa Kamei and PURE dōjin circles, providing art for the "Deep Red," "Vampire Kiss," and "Eternal Meek," fan-made manga. Riddle Story of Devil inspired a television anime series in 2014 that Funimation will release in North America.

Banpai Akira designed the characters for Frontier Aja's Kōmajō Densetsu dōjin (fan-made) game. He also illustrated Asaura's Fang of Underdog light novel, Nozomi Kota's Happy Death Day light novels series, and Akatsuki Kakeya's Kimi to wa Chimeiteki na Zure ga Aru (You and I Have A Fatal Difference) light novel.

Shinoasa is the main illustrator of the Vivit Gray dōjin circle, and illustrated the "Evenly Split Down the Middle," "Blanket," and "Foot Print" fan-made manga. She also provided illustrations for the illustration booklet included in NIS America's Blu-ray release of the Genshiken: Second Generation TV anime.

Other guests announced for the convention include voice actress and singer Nomico, musical producers REDALiCE, ARM, and Masayoshi Minoshima, independent artist Henry Liao, musical dōjin circle Yūhei Satellite, violinist TAM from TAMUSIC, illustrator ideolo, music producer Marasy, Touhou illustrator Kozō, pianist and producer Akai Ryūsei, and Reitaisai's president Takahiro Hojo.
