Komori-san Can't Decline creator draws manga about office lady and dragon girl

Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Friday that it has licensed the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon) manga by Coolkyoushinja (I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying, Komori-san Can't Decline). The company plans to release the series as single volumes starting with the first volume on October 18, 2016.

Seven Seas describes the story:

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi's normal life is about to go off the deep end!

Coolkyoushinja began the ongoing series in the inaugural issue of Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine in May 2013. Futabasha released the third compiled volume in September.

Coolkyoushinja's four-panel manga Danna ga Nani o Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken (I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying) has inspired two television anime, both of which streamed on Crunchyroll as they aired in Japan. Coolkyoushinja's Komori-san wa Kotowarenai! (Komori-san Can't Decline) manga also inspired an anime that is streaming on Crunchyroll as it airs.
