Well, that's certainly an interesting marketing decision - launching a spinoff manga without revealing what it's a spinoff to until chapter 3. I wonder if I would have suspected the connection if I were familiar with the Danganronpa franchise beyond the anime. While I was reading the manga I was just thinking of it as a zanier version of Dexter, but now that this information has been revealed I can see certain similarities with Danganronpa in the art style and the overall mood (the juxtaposition of shounen manga-style character hijinks and grandstanding with gruesome murders and executions). Now I'm not sure if I should keep reading if I want to avoid spoilers for the second game..

Well,that's one way to launch a spin-off and boy,oh boy,that's one heck of a way to do it. But,if I were the protagonist of "Danganronpa,"I'd be in therapy,living far,far away in a foreign locale,Africa,Australia,Paris,the U.S.,etc.,or in an insane asylum somewhere. But hey,that's just me. You don't live through an experience like that without some major psychological scars. If I didn't know any better,this is trying to be the manga version of "Dexter." I doubt I'm going to be seeking this one out.
