| While I'm not 100% sure, I think Universal is owned by BMG. I seem to recall them getting purchased about a year or two back. |

| Sony and BMG are the big ones who recently merged. Universal and BMG teamed up several years ago to do getmusic.com and Napster, but I don't think anything has happened since. |

| Well, I'm looking forward to next week's expose. Showbiz Machiavellian machinations are even better than politics! |

| Did anyone catch the season premiere of Queer as Folk this week? During the opening scene in the club, they were playing the Richard Vission Experience mix of Utada's "Devil Inside"! I couldn't believe it! They played several minutes' worth of it too. If her management is getting her onto the soundtrack of a pretty hip American TV show (and one targetting the club-going/dance crowd to boot), they must be doing something right. |

| Wow this is getting pedantic. Tune in next week for the continuing saga: ANN becomes Utada fansite! |

Haha, well, if this bores you, fear not--lots of CD reviews are just around the corner. |

| Well, I (for one) am fascinated. I picked up some of her earlier albums, and liked them a lot. I picked up Exodus, and thought, "WTF?" I'm very interested to see what the reasons are for how things have turned out... |

| Quick question: For your figures on Cornelius and Pizzicato Five, are you summarizing the sales of all of their albums released in the United States to date or are you focusing on the most recent release from Matador Records? Also, Did those numbers come from Nielsen Soundscan as well? |

Soundscan for:
Pizzicato Five: The Fifth Release (Nov 2000)
Cornelius: 5.1 plus PM (Jan 04)
Btw, I've got another Utada piece coming, but there's a lot of misinformation out there, so I need some more time to make sure everything is correct before it goes up. |
