Considering how dull and lifeless the animation was in the original series, I'm not surprised to learn that Madhouse won't be returning this time around

What? The animation/music were the only things god about the original series... The story was ehhh at best (that what you get when you take out so much of the source material). |

Hmm. For some reason, I have a good feeling about this. I get the impression they've managed a proper script. Aside from that, 8-bit from time to time does manage to make surprises.

Disappointed that Manabu Ono is not returning to direct the movie, guess he doesn't care much about the series after all.
On the other hand, 8-Bit did outsource the animation for the first two episodes of Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere II which has the same director as Mahouka's original series. Also I'm happy to see most of the staff returning for the movie, wonder if they will bring some cool animators like, say, Kazunori Ozawa. |
