I adore Yoshizumi's designs... and the story may be simplistic, but I enjoy the simple things every once in awhile. I am irritated that Viz decided to take Nina's "Practice!" out and change it to "Spamola!" for some weird reason. It's even more jarring since the anime has "Practice!" in it. (I haven't confirmed if they changed it in the dub, but I can't imagine why they would.)
I wonder how Viz is planning on handling the free talk in Volume 2 where Yoshizumi explains why she chose the word Practice for Nina's spells. |

| I found the short prievew in Shojo Beat quite enjoyable and well done, so I'll have to check this one out. One point of disagreement I have is the art. It's one of the better shojo styles I've seen, simple yet nice lines, but I don't know if I'd give it an A. B+ definitally, but that could just be me. |
