I'm crying tears of happiness with this review. I'll have to buy this release. It's one of my favorite shows and with the second season over, I can watch this over and over until that last season comes out. I'm glad it didn't receive a dub. It's always awkward when the dialogue is in English, but not the songs.

It's even more awkward when anime doesn't get an English dub at all though, especially these days.

Aaaaa I'm so glad this review is positive.

I feel like word of mouth is going to spread about this show, especially since season 2 was so amazing!

.... also I really wish they would dub it and dub the songs, but they probably won't. I'm just a huge fan of both languages' voice actors, and I feel like there are a lot of voice actors who would love being in this show.

With all the simulcasts they are putting out, they probably don't have many resources every finished airing shows.

I'm drowning in idol and otome hell and really expected this to be up my alley but...it wasn't, haha. (I LOVE UtaPri, BPro, Tsukiuta was decent, etc) The first season started decent but just dragged imo? I didn't really enjoy it and it felt way worse than other entries in the genre so I'm a bit surprised at the high praise. I watched it all though, including season 2. Season 2 the first 4-6 episodes felt like absolute TORTURE. I was really watching out of obligation than anything else. But the second half of season 2 really picked and was actually super enjoyable. But I wouldn't recommend suffering through ~18 episodes to get to the good stuff.

For me it was the complete opposite. I adored season 1. I really enjoyed the first half of season 2. But the second half of season 2 just kind of fell apart for me - something about the character focus just didn't work at all. But those ~18 episodes before were really good and I'd recommend them to anyone interested.

I loved both season 1 AND season 2. Starmyu just felt so much better than UtaPri seasons 3 and 4 which greatly disappointed me, especially season 4, which I had to drop. B-Pro also fell apart for me and I dropped it.

Starmyu was an anime that got better as it went on imo and I was really impressed with season 2 with how they handled so many characters.

imo, the best thing about the entire first season (aside form the musical numbers) is hilariously epic fail lie the boys came up with to excuse a broken vase.
