I've never heard of those novels before (and I suspect this is true of almost all westerners), but I'm excited for anything Oshii does.
(Also, looks like ANN is still saying that Oshii "recently" worked in live-action even though he's worked in live-action for basically his entire career. But who needs research for journalism, right?) |

IDK, hiring Oshii is a lot like hiring M. Night Shyamalan if his recent works are an example of what to expect.

Never heard of the series. Well, since it is an animated film, I'm expecting CG.
