Has it gotten to a point especially here in the States that idol group 22/7 is just Sally Amaki featuring 22/7? I feel she's becoming the face of the group for the English-speakers.

Not like that’s a bad thing. I bet there are dozens of prefab idol groups that would love to have a hook to catch the interest of international audiences, like the English-speaking, straight-talking, dabbing-on-demand, frequently ridiculous Sally Amaki.

More attention is better than no attention, even if it's just random English-speaking people who look on from overseas.

But people have to realize how much of an unicorn Sally is in that industry, and how that can be a source of misunderstanding.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a bad thing at all. It's all very fascinating how the producer lucked out in getting a Japanese-American Sally Amaki. Heck, if that 22/7 anime comes out and that gets an English dub, I wouldn't be surprised for the producers to get her to reprise her role for both languages.

The Pop Team Epic television anime premiered on January 6. HIDIVE, Funimation, Crunchyroll, AsianCrush, and Amazon Prime Video all streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Slight correction: Midnight Pulp was actually the fifth website that streamed Pop Team Epic as a simulcast. Amazon didn't stream it until the broadcast had ended.
