They could try publishing an English version themselves. Hell, I'm tempted to purchase the Japanese version of the light novel itself and just use deepl to read it (the webnovel version got removed/author stopped writing it)...

Lol, not even Shiokonbu's illustrations were enough to bring it over.

But we have A Girl On The Shore and Lychee Light Club in bookstores, which visually portray things that are more likely to cause a fuss than Redo of Healer. Hell, it's far more common to find manga with graphic scenes of sexual violence in particular versus anime, where they may not have been adapted or been toned down.

I agree they should try to self-publish it.

They’re encouraging something that’s going to happen anyway?

I would be interested if it wasn't for the fact that the author is an overall terrible human being who tweets extremely homophobic stuff and things like "Tsunderes should all be castrated via fisting"

I dont wanna give any of my money to someone like that.

And once again you're on your soapbox ignoring that it's largely due to the CONTEXT of the scenes. Trying to argue that a different titles has is perhaps more explicit in the art doe snot take away from the slew of contextual issues with Redo's material. But of course, you just are going to continue to ignore that. Moving forward I suggest you hold off on further soapboxing in every single thread on the topic of Redo as you're doing now.

Who would have guessed a series about a psychopath who rapes and kills even worse psychopaths than him would be hard to market?

Not really hard to market(to readers), the issue is finding someone(publisher) to sell it(hopefully someone will pick up the license)...

I am not defending this thing, but, that's kinda the plot of Dexter.

The Boys is also doing pretty well for Amazon.

I don't really think it's a case of 'no market' so much as it's probably more of a personal decision from the company, like Funimation dropping Ishuzoku Reviewers, or Viz dropping Rurouni Kenshin

But I don't know how big the LN market is in America compared to anime and manga.

Not a huge loss, to be perfectly honest. Their other title got published because as far as I know, it is -not- revenge torture porn(and actually sounds kind of interesting).

Before people go off the handle, the tweet in question (pinned on https://twitter.com/Tsukiyo_Rui_pkr) is from a separate account made in March 2019 that seemingly focuses on whatever Tsukiyo Rui does, consisting of over 150 tweets over the course of 2 years, that chiefly accuses him of plagiarism via screenshots of the supposedly stolen lines and their sources across all of their novels. In addition, I have yet to see any evidence of the homophobic tweets. Accusations against the author should be taken with a grain of salt considering the nature of the account and that a significant portion of the supposedly plagiarized lines are those that would be considered a reference in other series.

Except Dexter and the Boys aren't rapists.

So the author has a weird stalker? That's horrifying.

I hope this doesn't go anywhere serious like the KyoAni guy who accused them of plagarism...
