Half the fun of these games was creating monsters out of actual CDs you owned. You kind of lose a big part of the game in modern versions but I guess it can't be helped.

I was literally just telling a friend the other day about how there hasn’t been a Monster Rancher game in the west in ages and I missed the series, wild that this would be announced right after that. I’m definitely picking this one up.

Yea, the Switch can’t play disks of any kind meaning it would have been one if the worst ports of all time if real CDs were necessary,
