Sounds quite ambitious, and, well, *maybe* could be made possibly *partly* thanks to that sweet Disney money.

Wow, lots of cool stuff in this project! The fact that Japan is dabbling with an original live-action fantasy is already exceedingly rare, plus the mixed race cast, plus the live-action/anime fusion. I'm really interested to see how it turns out.

This actually feels appropriate to Disney+ compared to their other anime acquisitions.

I was shellshocked by the uniqueness of the execution that it took me a while to realize that yes, this is yet another isekai anime.

It's not the usual kind of Isekai though. At least in the modern sense.

Disney is very unlikely to get into seasonal releases if that’s your fear. If anything, this fits their MO, big creators and/or IPs done at a premium cost vs an abundance of quantity.
