Well, nice to know Ikue is returning to voice Pikachu again (although, it could really end up being this is the same Pikachu, only older).

Looking forward to it! Though...why are they spelling Riko's name with an L? It looks weird as Liko. Why not keep it as Riko, since it's an actual Japanese name?

Lots of familiar and exciting staff names, most of whom seem to have worked on the show in some fashion in the past! Dai Satou seems to be the outlier here but he certainly has experience with kids anime! The main director being a woman too is great considering our primary lead will be a girl for a kids show.

Pity we won't get a gruff chainsmoker pikachu voice but I suppose it's not surprising and hey Ohtani's voice has been used for every language track lol. I recognize at least one other role from each of the main seiyuu, with Roy's seiyuu being the one I've heard the most it seems (they'll even be on skip and loafer which I plan to watch) Nice to get new gamefreak/Ken sugimori designs but man Liko's angry face is scary lol.

Looks fun, hope it turns out well!

And we get to see the pendant! Seems to be related to terastalization (didn't play the latest pokemon games so not sure)

Funny that the main leads already had roles in the anime before. Still expected Roy to have a male seiyuu, maybe I have been influenced by Gou since he had Daiki Yamashita so I was expecting another case like that

Anyway, can't wait to see where this anime goes whitout Ash

I think they already confirmed that Liko will be her official English name. At least Bulbapedia does think so. Though they were wrong in these assumptions in past, but this time I did read it in other sources too, so I tend to believe it.

Because Charizard is also very popular Pokemon, not as popular as Pikachu, but still...

I hope not. If anyone has to get Eevee, and I hope no one will this time, then be it Roy. All Eevee in the show so far were owned by girls, so, it's time to change that Smile
And Charizard... well, I am glad I am not the only one who has enough of them. Don't get me wrong, Charizard is my favourite Kanto Pokémon and my second favourite starter evolution (after Greninja), but they overused it in the anime to the point I am sick of it. I'd prefer it if the anime used some Pokémon that didn't appear that much, like, I dunno, Houndour-Houndoom? Or maybe Tropius, if they need big flying Pokémon? Why another Charizard I don't get.

Looks like a fun new start for the franchise in anime form! The cast look cute and I love the school uniforms!

I wonder if Minori Suzuki will contribute a theme song to the anime like Rica Matsumoto did?

I'm not surprised Ohtani is still playing Pikachu but I wonder how much Captain Pikachu will change up her performance a little. She sounds like normal Pikachu so far.

Weak and spineless cowards having to rely on Pikachu yet again.
What's the point of a new series if you're just gonna have the same characters over and over again?
