A very small correction: the director/original creator should be Mitsue Yamazaki, not Yamasaki. The typo is preventing her encyclopedia page from being linked.

Not sure why all the hate, this looks really interesting and cute. Shirobako was a cute series too and more meta series about anime characters making anime is always nice. Bakuman was good too.
sidenote: the mc made me think of of Rita from King-Ohger at first due to the purple hoodie and black hair hiding her face

Well you certainly don't get more meta than a Shirobako-style show about an animation studio suffering production issues, when it's actually animated by a studio with such a poor open record for production issues and employee mismanagement & abuse that an actual animator posted an illustration of Shirobako's Ema Yasuhara tying a noose around her neck, while working on Jujutsu Kaisen S2. Black comedies wish they could be that bleak. |
