Pretty fair assessment. I was wondering when someone would mention the major changes in the characters' names in reference to the plot of this movie.

This is the first time I actually went back and rewatched the movie in Japanese to get the full effect immediately after viewing it in English as I'm normally attracted to the dub. Personally I thought that they should have connected it to their name somehow (perhaps a connection to a Japanese name, but doesn't exactly work), but oh well. The dub, as usual, was well done, just like Mr. Santos said, you need to see it in both versions to understand the mystery to its full extent.

I think that the revealing for the overall plot was good to see Rachel's parents' situation in perspective. I think it served its purpose and the movie was very entertaining, like Conan usually is.

Here's to hoping that this isn't the last Case Closed Region 1 release... it'll be depressing to leave the little guy at this state, not to mention not get to see what happens later on.
