Grats to them for getting him. Is it just me or does some of his stuff actually feel like there might be a good story developing then it just bogs down into the comedy again?

I'd love to meet this guy so I can see exactly what kind of world he lives in, because he obviously doesn't live in ours. I'd also like to compare afros. That would be good times.

with Excel Saga: it is similar to comedy works such as Hayate (combat butler Hayate) in that plot materializes around the 15 volume mark. ie. further than the anime adapted.

He was at A-Cen last year and, according to feedback (I didn't go to any of them, I'll admit), his panels were awesome. So hopefully attendees at AX will have the same experience that A-Cen attendees did.

I had the opportunity to meet him and spend a few hours hanging out with him last year when he visited Houston for Kamikazecon.

Seemed like a nice enough fellow, and he does take the industry seriously. His panel about anime piracy yielded an interesting discussion, and he loved fielding questions and hearing the fans' point of view.

Nabeshin's a laid-back and fun guy, though he's shorter in person than I imagined. And you gotta make sure he won't call you "hentai" if you ask him the wrong question. Laughing

I'm glad I can go to AX this year. All their supposed problems aside for a bit, this is a guest I've been wishing I could see in person.
