I love this anime series. Quite possibly my favorite fantasy anime.

Has everything I like: Good, if not great, lovable characters, a decent, sturdy plot, some very tasteful humor, excellent Gonzo work, and terrific music from Hitoshi.
If there's one thing about this series I dislike, is that the humor quality doesn't carry one into the next sequel.

And the dub was nicely done too. I would buy this series now, and probably still will in the near future... but the chance that this might be released on blu-ray still lingers in my mind...

All in all, this is a great chance for ANN to advertise this gem of an anime. Now if they could only get the rights to Snow Queen... if only.

Yet another series unavailable in the UK. Sigh.

I know, you would think FUNimation was an R1 licensing company or something.

For those who have seen the second series of Druaga: I really loved the first episode of the first season and I think one more (episode 8?) which was also full of slapstick comedy. Are there episodes in the second season which are also just slapstick comedy? I can't say I care about the actual story, which is, frankly, incredibly boring, but the two comedy episodes in the first season had me laughing so much.

Not really. The 2nd season mainly focuses on the plot, rather than humor. It's still quite good. even if you liked the humor and dissed the plot.

I know right? But apparently, they regularly release their stuff in Region 2 through a company called Revelation Films, so I guess they must have a license to do so.

Who knew, eh?

Well, there's the one episode where they stop by Melt's resort; that was kind of a funny episode, but overall it focused a lot less on humor in the second season.
