He's a little weird but he has insanely good English (I think he either lived abroad, or it's because his mother is an interpreter).
That said, live action manga/light novel/anime adaptions are almost always crap. I didn't realize his name (Rui) was supposed to be romanized as Louis... |

It makes no sense that Kodaka has blonde hair and Kobato doesn't, their mother is from England and has blonde hair.

It makes no sense that any half-Asian character has blond hair period as it is genetically impossible.
