That's a little sad, most of them probably won't go back to singing professionally, and the ones that do probably will never sing together.

They probably finally came to the realisation that they weren't 10 and 11 anymore. It happens when one looks into the mirror and what stares back is not 10-years-old, but 20.

Chronic lackluster support from management, and the post-20th-birthday realizations that if they want any sort of rewarding futures, they each are going to have to look elsewhere, I expect.

Except Momo, perhaps; she fully intends to be an Eternal Idol, and is unlikely to even slow down.

Aye. Some people will be always in denial.

Do you think it may be a good idea for them to have done more overseas performance (I mean J-music concerts outside of Japan is very rare these day).

Good for them personally, almost certainly. But not necessarily good for their managing talent studio who decided to focus their resources on other groups.

It's not really their decision to go touring overseas or not. Like you said, it's a big and difficult step for the managers to take their talents overseas and to be frank most Japanese companies don't want to bother, especially when it's not their absolutely most popular people.

I like to add that Japan's music sales has been declining for the last few years according to Billboard Biz (and it still is continuing to decline). Japan really need to do something about that, promoting overseas can really help with that.

But from what I've seen coming out of Japan's music industry, the industry doesn't seem to be expressing any interest to promote overseas nor think about globalizing J-pop for the international market. I expect the sale decline to continue if overseas/international market are not taken seriously.

The world is full of people that want to "pretend to be famous" just because most will never become historic cultural icons doesn't mean it wouldn't be amusing for even a small part of your life to work and be appreciated for the effort you put into training to (in this case) sing and dance.

Eventually people grow up and can't rely on youth anymore.

Most idols don't have the music capacity by themselves.

This I agreed. I feel sorry for the members.
