Ah nice to see the Studio Ghibli is going to be screen in the US.

It is not true to say that the documentation follows Isao Takahata. He actually only appears once in a very short scene, and in some flashbacks into the past. Nevertheless this documentation is superb. It doesn't actually feel like a chronicle, more like a journey or a few months in the live of Hayao Miyazaki and occasionally Toshio Suzuki. (Goro Miyazaki and Hideaki Anno also appear.) Very well done, and sometimes very emotional for me. The music from the Ame & Yuki composer accompanies the scenes perfectly.
Definitely recommended. Very unique work, and really intriguing. |

Pittsburgh is my hometown, and they're showing this documentary tomorrow. Wish I could go though. Too busy.
