I've read tons of manga and I'm still reading, but Slam Dunk is just the best out there !
It's a big shame that it's not as famous in the west as it is in Japan and other Asian countries.

A quick count revealed that I've got precisely 32 complete series on my shelves, ranging from Afterschool Nightmare to xxxHolic. You can add another 5 to that amount if you count ongoing series where I have all currently available volumes, and some of those are so brand new that only means a couple of volumes or so.

There is a certain satisfaction in seeing a complete series on your shelves, especially if it one that required a bit of hunting for rare or expensive OOP volumes. It can also be a testament to how much you love a series - long-running series can demand a lot of shelf space and cash, so you have to really love a manga series to devote all that space and funds towards keeping your own copies for posterity.

I started answering this and stopped at 45. This is the entire reason I started the Carolina Manga Library.

I'll just leave our homepage and our fundraiser here instead.

Homepage: www.carolinamangalibrary.com where you can search our collection.

Fundraiser: http://igg.me/at/carolinamangalibrary where you can help UA buy new shelves for the 400+ books we can't fit right now.

Oh wow, a rare appearance of Kekkaishi on any list at this point. I wish they'd finish the anime now that the manga ended.

I was going to list the series that I have collected completely, but I have discovered that there are over 100 of them.
So I just made a "Manga Collection" list in My Manga. Anybody who is curious can look there.

Here are a few of my favorites:
Ai Yori Aoshi (17 volumes) I saw the anime first and like the manga even more.
Cardcaptor Sakura (12 volumes, including Master of the Clow) I have two complete collections, from Tokyopop and from Dark Horse.
Fruits Basket (23 volumes) I like the manga but I prefer the anime.
Fushigi Yûgi (18 volumes) I have not tried the sequel yet.
Gunsmith Cats (13 volumes, including Burst) A nice action series with some interesting characters.
Hanako and the Terror of Allegory (4 volumes) A great set of horror stories based on classic Japanese ghosts.
Inuyasha (56 volumes) My favorite right now. I have two copies of each of the first 39 volumes because I bought them a second time to get them unflipped.

This is getting to be a lot longer than I had expected, so I am just going to stop now.

I have unfinished manga collection and 1 which is on-going, but I will keep colelcting until the end.

Unfinished: Bleach. When I started collecting these I was totally aware it was going to be a very long series, but I loved it regardless. Then I realized that I've barely read any of them. All I do is rewatch the anime so there's not much point to keep collecting them.

On-going: Kyoukai no Rin-ne. Because I'm such a Rumiko Takahashi fanboy. There is no anime as of yet, so I'm just going to keep collecting these until the very end... whenever that will be.
I own every released volume so far and will get volume 16 asap.

I have several finished series, but the only two of notable length are Black Cat (20) and Vampire Knight (19 + artbook + fanbook).

Ongoing, I have Arata: The Legend currently at 19 volumes.

Shelf space is the only reason I haven't collected manga. I am getting the omnibus GNs for Monster and I'm considering getting Pluto and 20th Century boys, but I really don't have the space to collect much more than that. If anyone's work is worth it, though, it is Urasawa's.

Eyeshield 21 (37 volumes) is the longest complete series I own. Though with Naruto ending soon, that will definitely overtake Eyeshield. Razz

Slam Dunk, Rurouni Kenshin and Sailor Moon are what I have in common with this list. Others are Fruits Basket, To Terra, Girlfriends, Cross Game and Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'll sell Sailor Moon soon to free up space and because it turned out to be not very good IMO.
