Majority of my favorite VA's on both sides are on this poll. I have no problem with this, aside from Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. Take him out and put Rikiya Koyama instead.

I read the title and saw the picture for the article and thought Kana Hanazawa had gotten married. GG.

No surprises here. Although I'm dissapoited at the low placement of Megumi Hayashibara (20th), Romi Paku (26th) and Kikuko Inoue (29th). Then again, Mamiko Noto and Houko Kuwashima aren't at the top-30 at all.
And it also saddens me that there's no Jouji Nakata, Norio Wakamoto or Akio Ohtsuka in the males top-30.

Well, they aren't voiced any popular bishounen so it's not surprising.

Even though I like Nana a lot (Super Generation ~Museum Style~ best song, imo), it's always surprising to see her on these list...even though she doesn't play a lot of main characters anymore (Ange the only one in recent memory).

By now, I think even some native Japanese fans might be tired of hearing Hanazawa-san so often.

I definitely think she's great, but also very overused. I hate it when so many characters sound the same. Her range isn't bad but she's in too much. I miss Mamiko Noto... I guess Hayami taking her roles has made the newer generation not even know her Sad

I have to say I'm getting bored of Hiroshi Kamiya lately despite liking him in the past. Well I mean he's still a solid seiyuu but I can't help but look at him as blatant fujoshi bait nowadays and that he gets cast more for that consideration than much of anything else. Lately Kana Hanazawa isn't quite as omni-present, if anything she's been overtaken in number of roles per season by Saori Hayami of late, but I guess she's still just kind of the default favorite for voters in these things.

lol why would fujoshi voters care about 50+ male seiyuu who aren't even handsome? If you think this sort of thing is purely talent, experience based think again and don't put too much weight behind it beyond the most shallow of reasoning cause I promise you if Kamiya Hiroshi didn't have male idol good looks he sure as hell wouldn't be at the top of this list.

I'm honestly glad that somebody gets it. Seriously people this is literally as hard as you need to think about it. Laughing

I feel like if there was a vote for seiyuu that people are tired of hearing in anime Matsuoka would probably win it at least in the West. I'm sort of indifferent to him though, largely because I don't really watch much harem/LN stuff where he gets the vast majority of his roles so I barely get any exposure to him, but I can understand why those that do watch that genre are sick of him as it really does seem like he's every popular harem anime male lead nowadays and when I have crossed paths with him his characters and voice have often indeed managed to be pretty grating. That awful obnoxious lead character from No Game No Life immediately comes to mind. Boy was that show an eye opener in a lot of ways.

I think we should disqualify Hiroshi Kamiya and exclude him from any poll from now and just straight up declare him the best voice actor of all time. Such an amazing voice Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I'd that the Japanese VA are more overrated/used than a majority of the English VA.
