So they learned their lesson from Xillia, eh? A tip of my hat to all. Fine news, indeed. Cool

Dual audio? Great, now people can shut up and stop whining about it. Rolling Eyes

In more important news, is that Lloyd Irving I hear as Mikleo? Shocked

Yeah, Dual Audio! It's not that I have particular problems with the English voice acting in Tales games, but having the option to choose freely is a good thing. Together with the news of SO5, this is shaping up to be a nice set of days for JRPG news. I am really looking forward to this game.

While I prefer dubs, it's nice to have the Japanese audio to add a little more replay value even though Tales games' raplay values are high enough already. In fact I still go back to Tales of the Abyss sometimes. I just hope the put actual subtitles and not dubtitles.

THIS. Anime smile I always get a kick out of these considering that even with my limited knowledge of Japanese acquired through lots of anime watching I can tell when a particular expression is not translated correctly or awkwardly. Of course, considering the effort of making more faithful subtitles instead of just using dubtitles is probably too much to wish for at this point. Pretty much every game with dual audio works like that.

Well, it looks like every other Tales of game ever. Not like anyone plays them for story anyway. I wish Namco get back to the graphic style of Vesperia, because without cel-shading the engine is butt ugly.

Good that they decided to use dual audio this time, I'm not a fan of Japanese voice acting (I'm not sure if it's acting or overacting to be honest), but it's definitely great for people who enjoy it.

Even in the dub trailer, they put in lots of shots of Alisha (who's barely even present after a while) while Rose gets no scenes at all.

Adding fuel to the fire again . . .

The voices sound okay though. And the dual audio crowd should be satisfied.

No they're not because now they're just gonna talk about how much the dub sucks. This is exactly how I've seen fans act with the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games for years.

Sadly no. It's Anthony DelRio, best known as the new voice of Pit in the Kid Icarus games.

Exactly. It's called entitlement.

ehhh I fell in love with the Xillia dub especially Xillia2 when Milla showed actual emotion instead of being monotone. Not sure Im liking the dub selection in Zesteria but maybe it will grow on me or at least Ill have the option of the japanese audio.

These are clearly new voices in the dub. Let's give them a chance and see how they do once the game is released, okay fellow Tales fans?

Have to say that so far I'm really looking forward to Alexis Tipton as Alisha. I have complete faith that she can pull it off. The voice actor for Sorey is also pretty decent, since he seems to provide the right enthusiasm for the character.

For once, though, I find myself pretty disappointed with a "Tales of" English voice. I tend to adore the English voice work but I find myself just not satisfied with Mikleo.

Maybe it's because he's my favorite character, but I was expecting a little older sounding, or at least deeper, voice for Mikleo. Someone like Josh Grelle, Eric Vale, or Chris Patton. The kind of voice that contrasts with Sorey's more chipper behavior. But instead he comes off as more of a brash and even kind of whiny teenager from a Shounen anime.

With that said, I can't fully judge until I play the game. Maybe after a play through I'll get used to it, or maybe his voice work is actually much better in-game than what the trailer provides.

And I'm also kind of disappointed that they kept Sorey as Sorey, instead of using "Slay" which was the named they first introduced him with and what I believe was the word Sorey is meant to play on (given the dragon theme and all.) But that's just me being even more nit-picky.
