Minor nitpick, but the Code Geass a.t.b. calendar isn't based off of ours, since it's zero date is when the Celts united under a super-chief to repel Julius Caesar's Roman invasion of Britannia in ~55 BCE, instead of at the birth of Christ in our AD calendar. Therefore, Code Geass's date of 2017 a.t.b. actually takes place in our ~AD 1962.

Otherwise, very good list. Wouldn't be complete with the ninja meido.

Why isn't an option for the first DBZ movie included with the new poll? That probably would have been my vote.

I'm a little surprised - but not disappointed! - that Girls Dead Monster came out on top in the poll, especially over the K-On! group, and I'm even more surprised that it wasn't particularly close. (Had I votes in the poll, I probably would have gone with ENOZ, though GDM would have been my #2 pick.)

Aw! Not enough love for Priss and the Replicants. I don't think anything has beaten the opening of the first OAV.

I've seen Angel Beats but the band there made no impression on me. I'll have to go back and listen to it again.

K-ON! seems to have been a short-lived sensation that is now spent, while Angel Beats! somehow continues to linger in the anime fan hive-mind and enjoys great word-of-mouth. Not complaining.

I went with the light music club from White Album 2. They only ever played one show, and after that, there was nothing left but betrayal and hurt feelings. Train wrecks are fun to watch.

Girls Dead Monster is a good number one.

Ironically, Dororo was remembered. Smile

But someone forgot Sasuke, loyal ninja to the Kuno household, on Ranma 1/2.

Dead Zone, the first DBZ film, is missing from the poll.

I thought it was only ~20 years difference.

You also forgot that there's no "Lamperouge" family, it's just an alias adopted by Lelouch to avoid being found.

Just happy to see I wouldn't be the only one waving a glowstick at the Fire Bomber concert!

Ooh, very nice! You're probably aware of this, but just in case, there was a new album done in-character several years ago. I haven't listened to it in ages, but I remember liking it, and might just pull it out for a spin in a few minutes.

Edit: When I saw the name "Girls Dead Monster" I just automatically assumed it must be from the second season of "Is This a Zombie?" (because I vaguely remember a concert scene in that).

I also was glad to see people hadn't forgotten ENOZ, but if I wish I had put in a shout for The Pillows.

Yay, someone brought up the Geass nitpicks so I don't have to.

(seriously, though, "Lamperouge family"?)

I took the poll to be "which anime band do you want to see?", not "which real-life singer (band), who was the voice (music) behind an anime band, would you want to see?" Since, then, you'd just have a poll about that.

So now I'm weirded out that the winning band was the one you have to die to see, since they perform in purgatory...
