Correction: Capcom did NOT release a remastered version of the original. They released a remastered version of the REMAKE of the original. Two separate games.

This is FANTASTIC! I'm a physical lover and not big on digital but I did buy the original digitally on PS4 but I'm so excited that both of them will be on disk!

Happy to hear this. I wanted to get this on for PS4 on disc, but even in Japan, there was only a PS3 disc version.

Good! Prefer physical! Getting both in a bundle is even better.
And thus all my ties to the Gamecube vanish with these games now on PS4.

Great news. Now Capcom should next bundle up Devil May Cry 4 SE with Devil May Cry 3 SE for a physical release.
Not sure what to think about the new Wesker mode. Probably won't like it. They should instead focus more on coming up with different / alternative modes to make the game difficult.

Why did I download 15gb over my slow connection earlier this year. Oh well.

In terms of making the games difficult in more ways, not enough. Like for example, having a mode that replaces zombies with Tyrants, another mode that turns save rooms into "not safe rooms", another mode that equips you with only a knife for an entire playthrough, etc. The larger the list, the greater replay value is for the game.

Only for gamers who absolutely hate themselves .

^Not really. My suggestion is for those gamers that will invest MANY hours playing and then replaying the re-releases; it would basically be for the Resident Evil fanatics.
