So what's more worthwhile to catch? Tree of Palme or My Dear Mari?

My Beautiful Girl, Mari. It's one of my favorites - although it also probably helps some that my girlfriend is named Mari.
 But it does have incredible animation done in a very unique style. Some people have complained that the story doesn't make too much sense, but I don't see that. It's like magical realism - you don't expect it to be explained when characters randomly ascend to heaven in Marquez books, do you?
I haven't seen Tree of Palme, but I know that some people felt let down by it. I'll probably still see it myself, but I'm preparing myself to be disappointed. Graphics look incredible from the screenshots I've seen, though. |
