Ok so I think there is some confusion here.
These dolls (called busunuis by the fandom) have already been released by sunrise. There are five large and five small ones: Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, Rei, and Rin. The large ones originally came just wearing their swim jackets and small ones had t-shirts that said "Fun to swim" with a picture of the corresponding character's spirit animal and their name. This new release is "new outfits" to change these dolls into; an Iwatobi uniform and a Samezuka uniform. The uniforms are available for both the large and small-sized busunuis. "They look like felt dolls" well...they aren't? Lol they aren't even made of felt...
These dolls are extremely popular in free! fandom and a very fast and easy google search will tell you a ton of accurate information about them. As another poster said, these are just outfits for existing plushies. Plushies that are so popular the makoto miniature version was number one on all of Japanese Rakuten. It's kind of insulting to compare them to just any old ufo catcher junk prize. |
