Sadly Chivalry was only commissioned as 1 season. Asterisk was planned as a split season show. We just have to wait for an announcement for Chivalry. PS. Hope the ED is as good as S1's Waiting for the Rain. |

Although I preferred Asterisk over Chivalry, the latter really deserves a second season, at least for the sake to keep comparing them.
And I can't believe I'm actually anticipating this new season. Somehow, the show managed to entertain me, and I liked most of the characters, so yeah, I'm looking forward to this new cour. Hopefully the animation improves, and the harem garbage gets reduced. |

Well, it's a flawed show in my opinion, but it's managed to be entertaining so might as well. Chivalry deserved another season though . . .
This song isn't half bad, and they rather nailed the twins' attitudes as far as expressions go. |

This show is... pretty bad. It looks decent, but is the worst kind of generic LN adaptation with huge flaws. For one, the MC is the blandest of the bland. And that's amazing, because even Onii-sama, who literally had his emotions written out of him (Mahouka) is more interesting. But the biggest flaw is that even after 12 episodes, NOTHING HAPPENED. So far there are zero stakes. It's just a tournament, absolutely nothing is a at stake.
Rakudai was so much better at everything this show is trying to be, and I find that amazing considering the financial backing this show has. |

Ah, but you cannot discuss one without the other. They are intertwined. They were so long before Digibro even pointed it out. They are essentially the same show but one is clearly better. Also Asterisk is probably one of the most boring shows I've ever seen. I dropped it after episode 3. |

Don't quite understand all of the fuss over Chivalry being better and deserving a second season instead of this show when Asterisk's second season was announced before the 2015 fall anime season even started. It was determined that one would have a second season and one wouldn't from the very start, so why cry over spilled milk.
Anyway, while this OP theme is good, I much preferred the first season's OP instead. I'm also quite disappointed that Maaya Sakamoto won't be lending her angelic voice to the show again, but oh well. It would be hard to top Waiting For The Rain anyway lol |
