Bandai Namco Ent. Launches Network Service Subsidiary

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that it will launch a new wholly owned subsidiary titled Bandai Namco Network Service on October 1.

The goal of the company is to more efficiently create better an more stable network connections for online services, starting with Bandai Namco game apps. Ultimately, the goal is to create a multifunctional company that can support all areas of business.

Bandai Namco Holdings restructured some of its subsidiaries on April 1, creating the new Bandai Spirits toy and hobby company, merging music company Lantis into its video division Bandai Visual to create Bandai Namco Arts, and moving its arcade and amusement machine department to Namco to create the new subsidiary Bandai Namco Amusement. Bandai Namco Holdings also owns the animation studio Sunrise, which it refers to as its "IP creation unit."

Bandai Namco Rights Marketing absorbed and dissolved Anime Consortium Japan (ACJ) in March.
