Meghalaya Day Cosplay Competition 2022 Announces Historical, Mythological Fusion Theme

The Shillong Cosplay Community's Instagram page announced on Friday that the Meghalaya Day Cosplay Competition is opening for registrations and will accept entries until January 19. The theme of the competition is "Reimagining Historical & Mythological Characters of Meghalaya in Pop Culture."
The competition will allow for 20 participants who will get a 30-second to two-minute long performance slot.
The organizers of the competition released a list of rules and regulations that elaborates that "participants have to incorporate something that represents Meghalaya in their respective costumes such as Historical Figures, Mythological Characters and attires of Meghalaya. Eg. : Captain America's Shield modified/Replaced with Khasi Warrior Shield."
The organizers also released the judging criteria for the competition. Participants will be judged on a 100-point scale and are required to make "70% of the costume" themselves.
The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival hosted a cosplay competition in November.
