Thank YouFeb 1st 2001
Thank you to all our readers for making January one of ANN's best months ever. Statistically January was ANN's best month ever. Near the halfway point of the month we realized that January might break our previous record for Page views, and this morning we confirmed that we not only surpassed our previous record of 275 000 impressions but smashed it with 315 000 page views and 95 000 visits.
Thank you to all the people who contributed reviews this month. Thanks to the work of our regular contributors, and those looking to win the $100 gift certificate, ANN posted 16 reviews this month, more than any other month since George and I took over the site. These reviews were responsible for a big part in our increased number of page views.
Thanks also to Zac Bertschy and David Albert for their contributions to the site. As I'm sure you all know, Zac has been doing an amazing job with the Subculture and Answerman columns. Dave has also been doing a great job helping us keep up with and post the news on a regular basis.
Thank you to all the people who have written to us this past month complimenting us on the new site layout, we thought it looked good and we're glad you think so too!
Thank you to the companies that took an interest in sponsoring Anime News Network, thanks to you we will be able to add more features that we haven't been able to afford up until now.
And a big thanks to all the Anime companies out there! Thank you for putting up with all our annoying questions, our rants and our occasional mistakes. And thank you for bringing us Anime in the first place, without you we wouldn't be here.
So what else is can you expect in the coming months? Well, we have some potential new columnists that might be joining ANN very soon, as well as more regular reviewers. The encyclopaedia should be online in a matter of days, but it will take quite a while for us to fill it up with information. Our release dates section should be online in the coming week as well. And above all, you can expect ANN to continue to bring you every important bit of Anime News there is. It isn't for nothing that we're the 'Net's number 1 source of Anime News!
