Trivia:

Initially scheduled for 50 episodes, Ayakashi Ayashi was canceled and had it's run cut off at 25 episodes due to poor ratings following Blood+ which also struggled in the previously popular Doroku timeslot. The final episode being named "Intermission" lead many to suspect that the series will receive a continuation in OVA form, much like Wolf's Rain, also from studio BONES.
