Interest U.S. Actress Streams Otaku: The Series Web Sitcom

Asian-American actress and professed manga fan Goldie Chan is producing an Internet-based video series titled Otaku: The Series, which revolves around a college anime club. Chan also stars in the series as club president Coco, and calls the project a "semi-autobiographical look" at Chan's "best and most awkward moments" in college. The series' first episode is currently streaming on YouTube, as is a trailer:
In an interview with the LA Asian American Movie Examiner, Chan reveals that she was the president of the anime club at Stanford University. Chan currently works as a freelance casting director and as a community media manager at the 3D character animation studio Mixamo.
