Professor Gen Endo creates "Mecha-ohmu" based on Hayao Miyazaki's manga, anime

Dr. Gen Endo created a robot "Mecha-ohmu" version of the giant Ohmu insects from Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind manga and anime film. When exposed to bright light, the robot's "eyes" turn red, and it rampages forward until stopped. The professor presented the robot at the Make Tokyo event at the Tokyo Institute of Technology this past weekend.
