NHK: 9/10ths of One Piece Manga Buyers are Adults

13% of buyers of Eiichiro Oda's pirate manga are 50+ years old
The Close-up Gendai (Modern Close-up) program on the Japanese public broadcaster NHK aired on Wednesday with an episode about the "Secrets of the Mega-Hit One Piece." In statistics listed by the program, Kinokuniya Bookstores reported that 88% of One Piece manga buyers are adults. In addition, 13% of the buyers of Eiichiro Oda's pirate manga are 50 years old or older.
