One Piece's Zoro Haramaki Waist Band Sold By Bandai

posted on by Egan Loo
Haramaki maker Hobonichi to ship swordsman's trademark band in December

The trademark haramaki waist band of Zoro, the swordsman from Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga, is being recreated by one of Japan's leading makers of haramaki. "Hobonichi's Special Edition Zoro's Haramaki: The Spirit of a Swordsman" will retail for 3,900 yen (about US$51).

The haramaki is a collaboration with Hobonichi, the brand produced by the Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun website. (The website, in turn, was created by Shigesato Itoi, the voice of the father in My Neighbor Totoro.)

Premium Bandai, Bandai's official shopping website, will begin taking pre-orders for the haramaki on Thursday, and orders will ship in December. Another company, Imperial Enterprise, sells an umbrella shaped like Zoro's sword.
