Armored Core's From Software makes Kinect sequel to CAPCOM mecha franchise

The official CAPCOM Unity website began streaming a 116-second Gamer's Day trailer from From Software and CAPCOM's Steel Battalion Heavy Armor (Jū-Tekki) mecha simulation action game on Wednesday. The game serves as a sequel to CAPCOM's Steel Battalion (Tekki) game franchise. However, unlike the previous Steel Battalion entries, From Software (Armored Core) is developing the game. It is also CAPCOM's first title that is compatible with the Kinect "controller-free" 3D device for the Xbox 360 game console, instead of the previous games' exclusive controller.

CAPCOM plans to release the game in 2012.
