Evangelion Tomato Ramen Soup to Be Sold in Japan
posted on by Egan Loo
To celebrate the release of the third new Evangelion film next fall, the Taiyō no Tōmatomen restaurant chain will sell Evangelion ramen from November 26 to Christmas Day in Japan. All 14 shops in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Osaka will offer two exclusive styles of ramen for 880 yen (about US$11.40) each:
Rei's White-Broth Ramen
Soy milk and cheese give the ramen soup its signature white color
Asuka's Tomato Ramen
Red tomato ramen soup is a specialty of this restaurant chain, and Asuka's version is spicy and sour with sausages (from Asuka's birthplace Germany) and potatoes.
Every order of Evangelion ramen earns a stamp, and the first 800 people at each store who collects three stamps on their stamp cards will receive an exclusive clear file. The cards with three stamps will also be entered into a random drawing for Evangelion ramen bowls.
