Hello Kitty Is Elle Fashion Mag's Cover Girl in Taiwan

A life-size version of the Sanrio company's Hello Kitty character appeared on special covers of Taiwan's Elle magazine this month. The December issue features two separate Hello Kitty covers that commemorate the fashion publication's 20th anniversary. Regular newsstand editions of Taiwan's current Elle issue feature a female model instead of Hello Kitty.
The cat character has appeared in various Taiwanese company collaborations in the past, including EVA Airways' line of three Hello Kitty airplanes.
Hello Kitty also featured on the July issue of the Numéro Homme Tokyo mens' fashion magazine. Hello Kitty received her own high-end fashion line Pynkiss, which launched at Italy's Milan Fashion week in September. The cosmetics retail chain Sephora also debuted an exclusive Hello Kitty line of products in January.
