London Street Wall Gets Soul Calibur V Graffiti Paint Job

posted on by Kimberly Grace
Fighting game to be released in N. America for PS3, Xbox 360 tomorrow

Namco Bandai Games Europe began streaming two promotional videos on Monday for the upcoming release of the Soul Calibur V video game, including a five-minute video featuring graffiti artists painting the Great Eastern Street wall in London's East End with Soul Calibur V art. The video also features 60 seconds of gameplay footage. The second 84-second video features live-action footage and gameplay footage.

Soul Calibur V's story will be set 17 years after the previous games, and it will feature a new main character. The game will have an online mode called Player Match, in which up to six players can join customized battle rooms online. While some players are fighting each other, the others can watch the bout and chat with each other via text.

The game will also feature a Global Coliseum section with "lobby" areas for different regions in the world. There, players can interact and invite each other to fighting matches. Players can also create their own smaller "lobby" areas called "lounges" in the Global Coliseum. Twice a month, a "Ranking Battle" tournament will be organized in the Global Coliseum.

Soul Calibur V will ship for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles on January 31 in North America, on February 2 in Japan, and on February 3 in Europe.
