'Music rhythm action' game for Nintendo 3DS released in Japan in February

Square Enix announced on Thursday that its Theatrhythm Final Fantasy game for the Nintendo 3DS will be released in North America, Europe, and other PAL territories this summer.

The "music rhythm action" game lets players "perform" well-known musical tracks from the Final Fantasy franchise. Players use the touch stylus as they travel through towns and dungeons and battle creatures. The game will feature more than 70 tracks from the Final Fantasy series, and the game commemorates the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

Square Enix released the game in Japan on February 16.
