Killer is Dead, the upcoming game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, has plans for a worldwide release similar to the company's previous Lollipop Chainsaw, according to Executive Producer Yoshimi Yasuda (Kadokawa Games) in a recent Famitsu interview published on Thursday.
In the game, which is scheduled for a 2013 release, players take control of an "executioner" whose job it is to kill various heinous criminals. According to Suda 51, the game's executive director, the game will be full of the "condensed essence" of his previous "assassin games" such as killer7 and No More Heroes. He also noted that the game will feature sword fighting action just as No More Heroes does, and that it will be a "brilliant" game that goes in a different direction from the "pop and cute" Lollipop Chainsaw.
