Capcom/Sega/Namco Bandai's Project X Zone Characters Confirmed

Characters from Megaman, Darkstalkers, Xenosaga, .hack, Virtua Fighter, Tales of Vesperia more to appear

The video game news website Famitsu revealed more details about Project X Zone (pronounced Project Cross Zone), a simulation role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS system featuring characters from the game companies CAPCOM, Sega, and Namco Bandai Games.

The website revealed more characters that will appear in the game. From the CAPCOM side, Chris Redfield (Hiroki Touchi) and Jill Valentine (Atsuko Yuya) from Biohazard Revelations (Resident Evil Revelations), Dante (Toshiyuki Morikawa) from the Devil May Cry franchise, Demitri Maximoff (Nobuyuki Hiyama) from the Vampire (Darkstalkers) franchise, Ryu (Hiroki Takahashi) and Ken Masters (Yuuji Kishi) from Street Fighter franchise, and X (Takahiro Sakurai) and Zero (Ryotaro Okiayu) from the Rockman X (Megaman X) series will appear.

From the Sega side, Akira Yūki (Shinichiro Miki) and Pai Chan (Minami Takayama) from the Virtua Fighter series, and Tōma (Romi Park) and Cyrille (Houko Kuwashima) from Shining Force EXA will appear.

From the Namco Bandai Games side, Yuri Lowell (Kousuke Toriumi) and Estelle (Mai Nakahara) from Tales of Vesperia, Jin Kazama (Isshin Chiba) and Ling Xiaoyu (Maaya Sakamoto) from the Tekken series, Kite (Sayaka Aida) and Black Rose (Masumi Asano) from the .hack series, and KOS-MOS (Mariko Suzuki) and T-elos (Mariko Suzuki) from the Xenosaga series will appear.

This week's issue of Enterbrain's Weekly Famitsu magazine already revealed that Kurt Irving (Yūichi Nakamura) and Riela Marcellis (Aya Endo) from Valkyria Chronicles 3, Sakura Shinguji (Chisa Yokoyama) and Ichirō Ōgami (Akio Suyama) from the Sakura Wars series, Ulala from Space Channel 5, and Sanger Zonvolt (Kenichi Ono) from Super Robot Wars Original Generation would appear in the game.

Kensuke Tsukanaka will produce the game. Project X Zone is slated for a 2012 release. Famitsu is currently hosting screenshots from the game.
