Moe Rice Reveals Summer Mascot Bags

Moe Rice revealed the second design of character bags for their three-month campaign "Oiishisa Saihakken! Tabeyou Nippon no Okome" (Rediscover Deliciousness! Eat Japanese Rice!).

The summer-themed bags feature mascot "Kinu Mimasaka" designed by Ginta, an illustrator for the bishōjo game maker Chuablesoft. The mascot was previously featured in April's bag design in a school uniform for Okayama-produced "Kinumusume" brand of rice. This time, Kinu Mimasaka is wearing a camisole and "sexy hot pants."

The bags will contain special codes that will allow consumers to also download messages by voice actresses playing the mascots thanking them for purchasing the rice. Kinu Mimasaka is voiced by Ai Fukada.

While the illustrations featured on the rice bags will change each month, the brand of rice sold through the line will change once every three months. The 5-kilogram (about 11 pounds) bags of rice will cost 2,780 Yen (about US$34). The deadline for orders is April 26, shipments begin May 10.
