A Bride's Story Manga's Promo Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Intro to manga by Emma's Kaoru Mori about wives in 19th-century central Asia

Japanese publisher Enterbrain began streaming a promotional video for A Bride's Story (Otoyome-Gatari), the current historical manga from Emma creator Kaoru Mori:

The manga offers glimpses into the lives of various women in central Asia at the end of the 19th century. Amir is the manga's first bride who married a boy eight years younger than her. Tarasu is the second bride, a widow five times over who encounters a traveller from England. The manga's fourth compiled book volume introduces the third set of brides, the mischievous twin sisters Raira and Reiri who live on the shores of the Aral Sea.

Mori launched the manga in Enterbrain's Fellows! magazine in 2008, and Enterbrain is publishing the fourth volume in Japan on Monday. Yen Press published the third volume in North America in March.
