Charity Auctions Feature More Art by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko & Others

A second set of art drawn at Mainichi Kaa-san/Kaasan - Mom's Life creator Reiko Saibara's April charity event were put on auction unil May 7.
"Reiko Saibara no Jinsei Garyoku Taiketsu Live ~Yoshikazu Yasuhiko Special" (Reiko Saibara's Drawing Showdown Live ~Yoshikazu Yasuhiko Special~) featured art by Mobile Suit Gundam character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko as well as drawings by Saibara, Keisuke Itagaki (Grappler Baki), Risa Itou (Higepiyo), Nobuyuki Fukumoto (Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji), Kazuhiro Fujita (Ushio & Tora), Mari Yamazaki (Thermae Romae), and Sensha Yoshida (Utsurun Desu).
The artist met on April 3 at Mt. Rainier Hall in Tokyo's Shibuya ward to raise money for volunteer and non-profit organizations that are helping with Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster recovery efforts.
Each artist drew characters from their most well-known works on shikishi (signature boards). Yasuhiko drew Char Aznable from the Gundam franchise (pictured right). Fukumoto drew the titular character from his gambling manga Kaiji and Saibara drew the cast from Kaasan - Mom's Life.
A third set of auctions will end on May 17 at Yahoo! Auctions. The third set's theme is favorite characters by manga/anime pioneer Osamu Tezuka.
Itagaki, Itou, Yamazaki and Saibara drew characters from Black Jack, while Fukumoto drew Astro Boy, Fujita sketched Dororo, Yasuhiko drew The Devil Garon and Yoshida illustrated The Three-eyed One for the auctions.
