City Hunter's Hojo, Producer TK Create Virtual Diva Mana

Mana covers City Hunter anime's "Get Wild"; her "Supernatural" video to be full-CG

City Hunter creator Tsukasa Hōjō and prolific musical producer/artist Tetsuya Komuro (TM Network) are collaborating to create a "virtual artist" named Mana. Hojo drew the image illustrations of the diva, and Komuro provided her music after realizing her personality when he saw Hojo's rough sketches.

As part of the group TM Network, Komuro had performed the iconic "Get Wild" ending theme song for the City Hunter television anime series, and the two are teaming up once again, more than 25 years later, to have Mana sing a rearranged cover of the song. Komuro already posted a preview of the song last week:

The music video for Mana's next song, "Supernatural," will be produced entirely in CG. Hojo and Komuro detailed the genesis of Mana in their first joint interview, which the July issue of North Stars Pictures' Monthly Comic Zenon magazine published on Friday.
