Strike Witches Dōjinshi Novella Posted in English

Dan Kanemitsu begins own dōjinshi circle 8th Panzer Regiment

Strike Witches dōjinshi writer/translator Dan Kanemitsu posted the complete English translation of his Strike Witches-themed original novella The Witch of Capuzzo on Tuesday. The story was originally published in volume 5 of Takeshi Nogami's semi-official The Witches of the Sphinx dōjinshi.

Kanemitsu was chosen by Nogami to translate The Witches of Sphinx and his two Strike Witches spin-off manga, The Witches of Africa and The Witches of Andorra. Nogami co-created these semi-official dōjinshi with Takaaki Suzuki, the historical advisor on the Strike Witches anime series. Kadokawa Shoten's online magazine Kadokawa Niconico Ace posted The Witches of Andorra manga in English online.

Kanemitsu wrote in his blog Tuesday that Nogami has no further plans to work on "World Witch" projects. So, Kanemitsu created his own Strike Witches dōjinshi publishing group, 8th Panzer Regiment. The Lionheart Witch: Leading the Charge is the group's first major project and stars The Witch of Capuzzo lead character, Captain Hannelore Kümmel of Karlsland. The book features original material by Acea4, Bach, Hidefumi Kimura, Juzō Minazuki, Kazuhiro Oota, Red Bear, Kōhei Takanga, Takenoko Seijin, and TYPE.90.

The Lionheart Witch: Leading the Charge is currently available in Japanese only. Both The Lionheart Witch and The Witch of Capuzzo will be sold at Comic Market 82 (Comiket) through Nogami's dōjinshi circle Firstspear (booth A-41b) on Sunday.
